This piece is about an athlete who loves to be active and plays multiple sports.
I made this piece because I love to play and watch multiple sports depending on the season. It is important to me because I feel sports play a major roll in my life , I love being competitive. Sports are important in kids lives because it teaches them about team work and hard work and so many other valuable life lessons. I came up with this idea because of my love of sports and being exposed to many sports at a young age.

 

I didn't have an artist that influenced me really. I used paint , clay, paper mache, and various markers in this piece. I tried to use paint to make the grass look texturized and strokes of the brush to make the basketball court look like real hard wood floors. My idea was different when I was first planning this out I was going to try and combine my favorite food with sports but it proved to be too difficult to figure out and have it all connect and make sense . I most like how I used the paint in this project to make it look more realistic .
