The name of my final project is “a bird's home.” For my final project I built a sculpture of a bird and her eggs, sitting in a nest. The tools I used for this artwork was Toilet paper and water with watercolor paint and some acrylic paint on top. I made this piece because where I live, I see this type of bird so often that it has become a daily thing. Seeing this bird so often has made me realize that this bird is my favorite bird, mainly because it is my favorite color. I came up with this Idea when I was making a sculpture for a different idea, I had previous to this, and when I went to show a friend, they said that it looks like a nest more than noodles (which was my main idea before this), so I went from there and thought of my favorite bird (a blue bird). I knew from the start of this project that I wanted to do a sculpture made from toilet paper and water, but it took many Trys to figure out exactly what I wanted to make. I noticed that the hardest part of the project was trying to not tear up the toilet paper with the paint and water. I probably ended up doing that at least 10 times. And, the easiest part of this project would have to be the sculpting of the eggs honestly, because it was just the shape of an oval... After finishing this project, I am most pleased with the shaping of the blue bird, and the vibrant colors that go along with it. This project was most definitely my favorite project in art this year.

This is one of my journal pages from quarter 3 that i think goes well with my theme.

this is another one of my journal pages but for this quarter.
