I made this art piece to reflect on my current season of AAU basketball. Its important to me because I love basketball and the game so it means a lot. I came up with this idea from just basically what I’ve been doing everyday going to the gym and practices and long weekend tournaments. I used acrylic paint to complete this project, I like painting because I like the finish paint gives. My first idea for my final was to do paintings of my emotions but I decided to do basketball because that’s what makes me happy. Some challenges were making the lines look neat around the figure in the painting. I’m most pleases with how the head came out I was nervous it would look weird with the mask and everything but in the finished product it didn’t turn out so bad. In conclusion I liked the way this turned out it means a lot to me.
